About the Author

Dr. Jake Chipps was an AP Calculus teacher in Los Angeles for 15 years. He currently lives in Montana with his partner and two daughters, where he continues to teach calculus at the university level. He has a strong passion for teaching, and strives to inspire a passion for mathematics in all students. He believes that an effective teacher should be passionate, charismatic, intelligent, knowledgable, and caring. Teachers owe their students a quality education.
